Baltimore For Families!

We love hosting families with kids at all of our properties. And we understand that traveling with kids can involve a lot of gear when traveling with a little one. And though our houses may have some open stairs and less than optimal set ups for little ones, we are happy to offer removable gates, pack and plays "cribs," bumbo seats and bathtubs at all of our properties to make your stay with us a bit easier. And if there is something in particular you need, please ask.  We can likely borrow it for you to use during your stay!

Kids love Baltimore, but more importantly parents do too. There is a lot to love here with family-friendly attractions like the world-renowned National Aquarium and Maryland Science Center. Beyond the expansive buildings and charming architecture, is a quietly thriving infrastructure of family friendly organizations. This list in not all inclusive, but is a good starting point.

The Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance and the Downtown Baltimore Jewish Community Center. Lots of information about living in the city with children, hosting fun events for wee-ones, and they have an active list serve for residents.

The Walters Art Museum has free drop in art activities for young creatives every weekend and Cool Progeny has set out to make urban living fun for everyone by throwing super hero parties, play dates and more.

Where can kids play in a concrete jungle?

Everywhere. Downtown has parks and plazas every couple of blocks. Add a stroll through Pierce’s Park or West Shore Park on your outings list and your kids can enjoy artistic play equipment and water fountains.
